Description of the accommodation

Gite of 150 m² installed in the former housing of the Carthusian brothers, on the 1st floor of the town hall. You will appreciate its large living room with its fully equipped kitchen area and its 3 large bedrooms with private bathrooms (capacity can increase to 14 people thanks to extra beds). the distribution of beds is as follows: blueberry room, 1 double bed. yellow bedroom, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds. green bedroom, 2 single beds and 4 single beds on the mezzanine. Sofa bed in living room. Sheets are for rent and bathroom linen is included in the service. the cottage provides wifi.
Guests, with family or friends, will find calm and serenity in this comfortable gîte. which has a small garden on the ground floor. The municipal car park is 50 m away. football and tennis court near the gîte. 2 restaurants on site and a sale of farm products. Ideally located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, in the heart of a green valley, within the Pilat Regional Natural Park, discover this gîte in a unique cultural setting: a chartreuse founded in 1280. For 500 years, silence and solitude reigned in this place inhabited by monks. During the French Revolution, after the departure of the Carthusians, the inhabitants transformed it into a village. Thus was born the commune of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, today classified among the most beautiful villages in France and a village of character in the Loire. Installed in the monastery buildings, this site has retained all its authenticity.
