La Faute sur Mer is the resort's southernmost of the Vendée. It is located in the Sea of ??Pertuis facing the island of Ré, near the Baie de l'Aiguillon. The beaches of La Faute sur Mer extend over 8 km from La Tranche at the end of the tip of Arçay. They are sheltered and you can practice many water activities including yachting. Four beaches are monitored. All are gently sloping which is nice for families with children. Some beaches are equipped for disabled access but since parking is a bit away (access by asphalt and sand trails). Blame is one of the newest municipalities in the Vendée (1953 -separation with La Tranche sur Mer). The northern part (the area closest to the Tranche) was conquered by drying up. The south is the tip of Arçay (5 km long still expanding bordered by a pine forest) is a spit which is due to the sea and wind. It is on this beautiful wild beaches.
