Gite Villars-et-Villenotte, 1 bedroom, 4 persons - FR-1-819-831

In a small village 3 km from the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois, this gîte is located opposite the owners' house. The gîte boasts a beautiful wooded park of over 1,000 m² and a swimming pool to the rear. Access to the gîte is via a beautiful stone staircase: a large living/dining room with a fireplace, a high-quality double trundle bed, TV, and Wi-Fi. A sofa bed is also available. A few steps lead to the kitchen: a fully equipped kitchen, a combination oven/microwave, and a combined washer/dryer. A bathroom with a large walk-in shower and toilet. One bedroom has a 160 cm bed (plus an extra single mattress). A cot and high chair are available upon request.

To the rear, a large, fully enclosed garden with trees and flowers offers various relaxation areas. A beautiful 12 x 3.5 m heated swimming pool is open from early May to late September. The terrace has a pergola, garden furniture with a plancha grill, and deckchairs. Private, gated parking. Pets not allowed. Bicycle shelter.

Places to visit: the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois: fortified gates, ramparts, keep, steep streets, the Notre-Dame collegiate church, the museum, the tourist train, the Orle d'Or tower. Nearby: the castles of Epoisses and Bussy-Rabutin, the Alésia Museum Park, Fontenay Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, one of the most beautiful villages in France, renowned for its aniseed. A few minutes from Semur: Pont Lake: equipped beach, water games, and numerous hiking trails nearby. Medieval festivals and numerous activities take place in Semur during the summer.
