Former managers of a building design office, now retired. Originally from the Vergt region, we decided in 1993 to restore an old mill and its barn belonging to our grandfather.
Located in a valley classified as a "natural site to protect", it seemed obvious to us to revive old stones and a forgotten corner of Périgord.

Description of the accommodation

A beautiful Périgord stone house in the countryside (all shops 10 km). You can enjoy a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer combination, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, open to the dining room with an insert and the living room with 2 sofas and 2 armchairs, television, internet. On the ground floor, a bedroom with 1 160x200 bed. A bathroom with walk-in shower, a toilet separated by a door. Upstairs, you will have a bedroom with 1 160x200 bed, a 2nd bedroom with 2 90x190 beds. . Independent WC. Electric heating. From the covered terrace, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the 4000 m2 open garden. At your disposal, you will have garden furniture, sun loungers, a barbecue, a ping-pong table. Linen, sheets, electricity and wood included. Towels €5/person/change. End of stay cleaning €70. Heating €8/day. On the property of this old renovated mill, a millstone is still visible in the garden. 50 m from the gîte, you will appreciate the presence of a stream called "Le Caudeau".
This house is located between Périgueux, a town classified as a 'City of Art and History', 30 km away, Bergerac in the heart of the vineyards, 28 km away, and Sarlat, a medieval town with an exceptional heritage, 55 km away. A walking path passes right in front of the gîte to allow you to take beautiful walks with family or friends. Dordogne Valley (Castles, villages...) and Vézère Valley (Prehistoric sites, International Center for Cave Art Lascaux 4 in Montignac at 50 km, Les Eyzies de Tayac at 35 km...).
