Pont-Aven was made famous by the painter Gauguin who set up the Pont-Aven painting school. Today, ten or so art galleries line the streets. Concarneau, 15 km, is worth a day visit for its walled town and lively quayside. Within 10 minutes' drive you will have the choice of three large, beautiful, south-facing sandy beaches: Kerfany, Raguenez and Trévignon.
