Close to two of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" of Puy-de-Dôme (Usson and Montpeyroux), Parent is located in the heart of the Pays d'Issoire.

Issoire, 20 minutes away, is southern Auvergne with its squares sprinkled with fountains where it is pleasant to stroll in the summer, its canal tiles, its sponge cakes, its hillside vineyards.

To visit the unmissable masterpiece of Auvergne Romanesque art: the Saint-Austremoine abbey. You will not fail to enjoy the joys of the lake and the nautical base (jet ski, buoy, hand jet) as well as the valley of the Saints which offers a surprising landscape in our region...

For a day, you can also visit Clermont-Ferrand, renowned for its volcanic stone cathedral and its important cultural heritage (historic district, Michelin Adventure Museum, Short Film in February, Europavox festival in June, important events at the Grande Halle, Clermont-Cournon fair, etc.)

We do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible: advice, discussions, aperitif, the children play together on occasion... The village is typical.

For the 8-person gite, it's an old barn that my parents decided to renovate. It offers an exceptional view of the Puy de Dôme and the Sancy… We provide a small notebook containing many photos of the gîte before its renovation. The cottage is really spacious.

The 2-person gite is an old small winegrower's house.

Description of the accommodation

Ideally located between Issoire and Clermont, this former winegrower's house adjoining an unused barn will seduce you for your next vacation. Nearby, you can discover the village of Montpeyroux classified as "Most Beautiful Villages of France" with its dungeon, its restaurants, its craftsmen's workshops..., the Château de Busséol, the town of Issoire with its Romanesque church and its markets, the Valley of the Saints (real Colorado Auvergnat), outdoor sports (hiking, mountain biking, etc.), swimming and water sports at Lac d'Aydat or Lac Chambon, the Parc Animalier d'Auvergne...
This cottage consists on the ground floor of a living room, dining room with open kitchen and a laundry room. Upstairs is the bedroom with two single beds that can be joined together, the shower room and the separate WC. You can enjoy the very pleasant outdoor space in summer with its flowery terrace and its open garden. Gas heating according to consumption (35 to 55€/week). Private parking in front of the cottage. Possibility to rent it with the gite 63G6394. Shops and services in Vic-le-Comte 4 km away.
