For a change of scenery, you can discover the ramparts of Guérande or the marshes of the Brière Regional Park, a few kilometers away.

THE BAULE

A seaside resort on the Côte d’Amour bordering the Atlantic Ocean, Baie Le Pouliguen – La Baule-Pornichet joined the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World in November 2011.
The city is known for its magnificent beach, its shopping avenues (Lajarrige and De Gaulle), its large hotels, as well as its casino.

LA BAULE is also:

• History: Saint-Aignan church. 1866: designed in neo-Gothic style by the architect Benjamin Ricard, it was built on the site of the old church destroyed in a fire in 1861. It contains, among other things, a small gallery organ which was dismantled and some of which parts were left behind. It was bombed during World War II on June 17, 1940.
• Sport: The Barrière de La Baule International Golf Course comprising 3 courses of 9 to 18 holes. La Baule international jumping, thalassotherapy, the Sporting Tennis club, the sailing school, fishing and various water activities (jet ski, fly fish, paddle, etc.)
