LOCATION
Situated 20km north of Royan, the small coastal resort of La Palmyre offers fine sandy beaches, a large pine forest ideal for cycling and walking, and benefits from excellent sunny weather conditions, reminiscent of those usually found in the Meditteranean.

The resort offers a variety of activities and amenities, including watersports, tennis, cycling trails and horse riding.

Located on the Atlantic coast between the Vendee and Gironde areas, the Charente-Maritime offers a landscape characterised by pine tree-lined sandy beaches and verdent countryside. The region is also steeped in history and boasts serveral well-preserved monuments to its past, including the mediaeval harbour at La Rochelle and the ancient Roman town of Saintes, and it's coastline is dotted with islands, such as the popular destinations the Ile d'Oleron (linked to the mainland by a 3km-long bridge) and the beautiful Ile de Re.
