Michel vote host has 2 passions: recovering or hunting for objects of yesteryear and old agricultural or artisan tools, I plan to create a cabinet of curiosities, a sort of eco-museum for my visitors from here 2 years. My second passion for more than 40 years has been to restore an old farm in the Monts du Lyonnais, which houses the cottage, to restore its former glory using noble and ancient materials: oak, stone, lime, tiles, ... The local granite stone is omnipresent. I cut it, I bush hammered it, I put up (dry) stone walls, where you hardly see the cement, I redid a porch, chimneys, stone jambs, etc.
I am always delighted to answer questions from tenants who are interested in the past and inexhaustible for those looking for a cottage with real history and soul.

Description of the accommodation

250m² gîte on ground floor + upper floor. The living rooms of the house: dining room, summer living room, winter living room with fireplace, are ideal for your moments with family or friends. There are four bedrooms, two of them are arranged in a row (you have to go through the children's bedroom to access the attic bedroom which is on the "mezzanine"). For your comfort, charges are included in the rental price, sheets and towels are provided. Possibility, during your stay, to access the spa (supplement of €140 for 1 weekend and €160 for 1 week) and the sauna (supplement of €180 for 1 weekend and €200 for 1 week) This old typical Forez farm, more than 200 years old, has been restored with passion over the years by the owner. In this place, we find the warmth of oak woodwork, beautiful stones, old-fashioned terracotta tiles and Roman opus tiling, the charm of old decorative objects, ... Peace and quiet are waiting for you through its beautiful green environment of more than 2200 m²: paved path, a rose garden, flower beds, an enclosed courtyard not overlooked... You will discover the nooks and crannies that the house offers you: the 3 terraces , an 80 m2 “inside and outside” courtyard with fireplace, swimming pool, spa and sauna...
