Originally from Périgourdine, born in Bergerac and retired from the tobacco research center, the owner inherited this house. With her husband, she decided to renovate it and add a swimming pool. In 2000, they started renting it out. Since then, Mrs. Casagrande has provided the best possible welcome to her guests.

The name of Bergerac is often associated with that of Cyrano, a famous character with a long nose (created by Edmond Rostand) who was not, however, a native of the country. The old town of Bergerac has preserved evidence of the past (half-timbered houses).
