Family cottage with pool and pets allowed in Burgundy

The Steward's Lodge is the former residence of the steward of Chevillon Castle. Built just before the First World War, this collection of characterful buildings, located in the heart of the village but with no other neighbors than verdant fields, will welcome you in a most convivial atmosphere.

A major advantage: we are located 6 km from exit 18 of the A6 motorway (A6 motorway) and not far from the A5 motorway junction, and only 135 km from Paris.

This makes it the perfect place to stop before continuing your journey to the north or south of France, or even to the east or west of the country!

From Chevillon, you have easy access to explore Auxerre and its vineyards, as well as the Chablis region, not to mention the must-see Guédelon castle, which is less than 30 minutes away by car. But you can also easily reach Montargis, the Venice of the Gâtinais, Sens, or even Joigny, all within thirty minutes. For those of you seeking peace and quiet, the charm of the countryside, quality amenities, and a warm, friendly welcome, this is the perfect place to stay.

Located at 25 Rue de l'Église, you won't be disturbed by traffic, as it's a one-way street (except for residents). The street is bordered by a small stream and meadows, and at its other end, it leads to the village wash house, opposite the main entrance to the château.

A family room for one family with private bathroom facilities: the "garden and pool view" room has one double bed (140cm) and one single bed (100cm); the "countryside view" room has one double bed (160cm) (which can be split into two single beds of 80cm), two single beds of 80cm, and a daybed suitable for a child. A cot is available upon request.

Pets are welcome: maximum 2. The property is enclosed.

During your stay at our bed and breakfast, you can even rent one of our 2CVs to explore the Burgundy countryside.

Access to the unheated indoor swimming pool is available by prior arrangement from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Open from May 1st to October 1st. Enjoy the 2500m² garden and private terrace for your relaxation.

All inclusive: bed linen, towels, cleaning, heating, and electricity are included.

In 2022, we obtained the "Référence" bed and breakfast accreditation, guaranteeing compliance with the comfort criteria defined by the French Tourist Offices. Furthermore, since 2023, we have been signatories of the Charter for Sustainable and Responsible Tourism in Puisaye-Forterre.
