Gite Asquins, 4 bedrooms, 8 persons - FR-1-819-988

In this magnificent region of Burgundy, 1.5 km from Vézelay, located in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, we offer several cottages surrounded by nature on 60 hectares of land. The Misty cottage, measuring 145 m², comprises on the ground floor an entrance hall, a living room, a kitchen and dining area, a shower room, and a furnished terrace overlooking the garden. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms (two with queen-size beds and two with single beds), a bathroom, and a toilet. On the second floor, there is a mezzanine with one bedroom (one queen-size bed).

A large heated swimming pool (14 m x 7 m) and a sauna (€60/hour) are shared with the other cottages on the property. The pool is open from May 15th to October 1st, weather permitting.

Utilities and extras:

Electricity, heating, and linens are included.

Optional cleaning: €95

Pets are welcome subject to the owner's approval and a €300 security deposit, plus a €15 cleaning fee for the duration of your stay.

Good news! Since January 27, 2026, the property has been officially designated a "Grand Site de France" by ministerial decree, following 15 years of lengthy administrative procedures and a profound transformation of the area to showcase iconic landscapes recognized by UNESCO.

This recognition is a victory for us, as we have been fighting for twenty years to save and restore all the abandoned 11th-century buildings and the historic site, nestled in a peaceful and unspoiled natural setting within the national forest.
