Description of the accommodation

Gite Asquins, 2 bedrooms, 4 persons - FR-1-819-1024

In this magnificent region of Burgundy, 1.5 km from Vézelay, located in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, we offer several cottages surrounded by nature with 60 hectares of unfenced land. The Josette cottage, measuring 65 m², includes on the ground floor a fully equipped kitchen/dining room/living room. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms (two queen-size beds), a bathroom, and a toilet. A folding cot (without sheets or blanket), a baby bath, and a potty are available.

A large heated swimming pool (14m x 7m) and a sauna (€60/hour) are shared with the other cottages on the property. The pool is open from May 15th to October 1st, weather permitting.

One pet is allowed.

Bicycles can be stored in the enclosed barn.

Charges and additional charges:

Electricity, heating, sheets, and towels are included.

Optional cleaning: €70.

Pets are accepted subject to the owner's approval and a €300 security deposit, with an additional €15 cleaning fee for the duration of the stay.

Good news! Since January 27, 2026, the property has been officially recognized as a "Grand Site de France" by ministerial decree, after 15 years of work. Administrative procedures and a profound transformation of the area have been undertaken to showcase iconic landscapes recognized by UNESCO.

This recognition is a victory for us, as we have been fighting for twenty years to save and restore all the abandoned 11th-century buildings and the historic site, nestled in a peaceful, unspoiled natural setting within the national forest.
